Our LastPass review and testing notes
LastPass is one of the best-known password managers, with a free tier, Premium from about 2.03 euros/month (with 30% promo for new users until March 2026), and Families at 2.73 euros/month for 6 accounts. Business plans (Teams, Business, Business Max) cover from small teams to enterprises with SSO, SaaS Protect and LastPass Families included for employees. [LastPass](https://www.lastpass.com/fr) uses zero-knowledge AES-256 encryption and offers dark web monitoring, a security dashboard and passkeys.
2022 incident and current state
In December 2022 LastPass disclosed a serious security incident. The vendor has since rebuilt infrastructure, moved to a dedicated cloud platform and obtained certifications (e.g. ISO 27701). We mention this because it is part of the product's history; many users left for 1Password, Bitwarden or others. If you are considering LastPass today, weigh the current offering and the vendor's response.

Who it's for
LastPass suits you if you want a free option (with the one-device-type limit), competitive paid pricing with the current promo, or strong business plans with Families as a benefit. If the 2022 incident is a deal-breaker or you prefer open source, consider Bitwarden or Proton Pass.
