Bitwarden and NordPass both offer a free tier, but Bitwarden free works on unlimited devices while NordPass free is limited to one device. That difference alone drives many users to Bitwarden when they have a phone and a laptop. We compared pricing, features and daily use.

Bitwarden is free on unlimited devices with no time limit; Premium is 1.65 $/month. NordPass free is one device only; Premium is about 1.99 euros/month (1 year) or 1.49 euros/month (2 years, with 3 months NordVPN). So for free multi-device, Bitwarden wins. For the cheapest paid option with a simple interface, NordPass 2-year is hard to beat. What we tested
We used both on Windows, Android and in Chrome. Import and autofill worked well for both. Bitwarden's UI is denser; NordPass's is cleaner. Sync was fast for both. NordPass's breach scanner and password health (Premium) matched our expectations; Bitwarden Premium has vault health reports and emergency access. If you only need one device and want the simplest app, NordPass free is enough. If you need two or more devices for free, Bitwarden is the only option of the two.
